And to pull the camera back; all those big money words you just used are in no way necessary for people to have a good experience, because software can be free and open.

Obviously, we are well past the naive idea of "just making everything FOSS and all will be perfect," but hey, if I'm not the one making money, then from my user point of view, I will be cheering and helping on the "less money" or perhaps even "no money" projects that are threatening to eat your business model.
