It would be nice if multiple organisations that host E2EE web apps worked together to support a browser extension like this that was compatible with all of their sites.

That would hopefully convince browser vendors that this functionality should be supported natively in the browser itself, and make JavaScript crypto potentially no worse than its native app equivalent.
