Very interesting article on the difference between tracking reduction and tracking evasion from the point of view of privacy. The author points out that a user may become more unique (and thus more identifiable) when attempting to hide their identity only partially.
I wonder if there are certain attributes that when normalized actually make a user harder to identify even though its only partially hiding their identity? For instance, does fudging the user-agent headers to make it seem like I am on a more common device help or worsen assuming other info remains the same?
