Automation of Canon camera using their WiFi-based Camera Control API (CCAPI) (github.com/horshack-dpreview)

Magic Latern is an alternative firmware for (some) Canon cameras that offers an almost unbelievable feature set and can run scripts. It's worth looking into if you use cameras for automation.

Also, CHDK: https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/CHDK . While it's some Canon cameras, not all, it's many more than supported by what's in the article.

It's such a bummer that they use a convoluted platform such as fandom.com to host their stuff. It's borderline unsearchable

Only if Nikon had sth like this... I have used their PTP/IP stuff and it's almost unusable because it's on top of TCP, not UDP

I wonder if someone has done the same for Fujifilm’s X series wifi protocol. I imagine it’s similar

I don’t think it is. The ability to tether X-series cameras is severely limited compared to Canon.

That’s a shame, since I love my X-Pro3 dearly and am not willing to give up the camera for those features. I’m more likely to just get another camera for those purposes.
