reminds me of when I visited Bangkok with a bunch of friends, one of whom was a smoker. by Thai law, cigarette packets had to have pictures of organs blighted by smoking on them (I think it was lungs and gums), and I wondered if that would really be a deterrent, but he said it was actually offputting enough that he found himself not buying cigarettes as much as he would otherwise have.
