Playing music in childhood linked to a sharper mind at old age (theguardian.com)

I really loved Dad's selections of music he played. I tried playing the violin but didn't get far at the age I tried. My brother learned piano and did program computers. I can't say Dad's music made me a programmer but it did inspire me to program.

I am a dad of grownup children myself. My daughter is married and my son is getting married soon.

One of their strongest memories is about the songs we would make them hear while traveling around in our car, when cars had CD-ROM players.

If music is the universal language, maybe the link is similar to the link between trilingualism and dementia.[0]

Don't forget: Al Einstein played his violin.
