You can always use a commercial Lisp vendor's solution or vim + slimv for CL or Dr. Racket for Racket. There are other comments in this thread about the vim + slimv alternative to emacs + slime (I don't use it myself since I learned emacs as a freshman in college and stuck with it, so check out their comments to get an idea of how its done).
