Nothing about the increasingly dystopian direction that computing is taking, a prediction which I very much hope will be incorrect but currently shows no sign of it.


I agree with this. I believe computer scientists and programmers especially just solve problems because they can, not really giving much thought to how those technologies actually affect society. They do it because it's cool and because they get paid a lot. And while a lot of computing has made life better, a lot of other computing (tracking, social media, making consumerism more efficient, AI to replace people) generally makes society worse.


Dystopian for you yet billions of people have access to computing and it works intuitively for them


They don't have access to computing. They have access to some apps that syphone their data.


Communication between humans is increasingly being intermediated by organizations who have incentives to manipulate.
