Just curious, has anyone in the Bay Area gotten a good deal on a new model 3 or Y this past year?
I ask because it seems to be there are only so many potential buyers before the market appetite is saturated. If they've produced and sold 600,000 new cars this year, I expect there may not be another 600,000 customers willing to pay full retail for a Tesla vehicle.
I’m in Central Florida and they’re still going for $10k-$20k over new for something preowned. A local dealer has made a small niche for themselves of outcompeting Carmax as a market maker for them. They used to carry large SUVs and trucks, now they only sell used Teslas.
The EV tax credit coming back next year is likely to stoke demand.
