I imagine in a Mad Max future older tech will be more valuable because there will be no need to jailbreak them to get them to function.


I guess the one good thing is that the auto industry is one of the very very very rare industries with lots of options.

It also is where used products have a long lifetime and a very active secondary market.

I cannot see this lasting in the new BEV free for all where market ownership is all up for grabs.


A bleak future's been awaiting for quite some time.

Just evolved enough to be crawling up out of the swamp onto dry land more often.


Yet another market driven race to the bottom.

Right to repair to get rid of this sort of nonsense.
