This is pretty unfortunate! Pointing a finger at authorities for not investigating excess deaths when Covid quite adequately explains it is disappointing. It seems that people who have a sign that says “follow the evidence” behind them are not to be trusted with investigative journalism.

Not sure why this is on HN as it’s clearly a botched investigation which will, at best, waste the time of the viewers.

The data about death and the data about who died not due to covid comes from the same place. If they can "quite adequately explains it" why would they release data that suggests they do not know the reasons for large parts of the excess death? That is what the data releases all over the western world shows.

Also hes not a journalist and he does not do investigations he just explains medical stuff and hes unable to explain the given data. If you can explain it then you should probably do that. But its seems like you just want to attribute the rest of the excess death to COVID as well so you actually question the data. Wrong data is a perfectly valid reason for why the data can not be explained.
