I have Intel Macbook 16" (2019) and bought Dell G3223Q 4k @ 144Hz monitor and it only shows 60Hz maximum in MacOS Ventura. But it works fine at 4k @ 144Hz in MacOS Catalina, I made Catalina partition just to test it.
Apple support kicks back and forth, engineering department saw my Catalina screenshots proofs, sysdiag logs, and now asks me to show where in Dell specification it says that MacOS Ventura is explicitly supported (sigh). Battle is ongoing.
The DSC in MacOS was broken 3 years ago. All users of Intel Macbooks lost the ability to use high refresh rate on their external monitors.
