Same! And what leverage do they truly have against us who moved away with eyes open? My mortgage is now $2k a month, about half of bay area rent.

I'm more likely to try and get a $15/hr job with benefits here locally than haul my family back to the bay area.

Sadly I'm feeling the same. I loved my coworkers and the Bay Area, but it's just too expensive to be worth it.
