i386 will not dies in Ubuntu because it is not dead in Debian. Once it is dead in Debian, it'll die in Ubuntu too.

I mean, my point was is that they are free to drop earlier than Debian will, but if Debian drop they will not maintain it by themselves.


That makes sense, but it's the opposite of what you did say.
