I need more posts like this and the vanilla ice cream one recently posted. Does the category of weird these problems belong to have a specific name or something?
This one at least, is just edgecases that werent deemed necessary in testing. Its likely the chair is causing an emi spike way out of the usual bounds of testing.
Regarding the vanilla icecream one, shoddy design led to vapor lock, because the fuel lines run too close to the engine. But again, it was an edgecase, short drives, which are generally bad for cars, and mfgs dont do short drive tests that would catch that as part of their testing
Regarding the 500 mile email, again, another edgecase, where timeouts were reached due to distance. Distance wasnt factored in to testing, as it was not a necessary datapoint.
