There's one thing LinkedIn gets very right about job searches: remembering if I've indicated that I'm not interested in a particular job posting.

That massively improves the signal-to-noise ratio over e.g. Google, who's daily updates show me mostly the same jobs from one day to the next.



Oh right and then it suggests me the exact same job ad and slightly grays it out. What. The. Hell.


I could see the ability to re-visit such postings being useful on occasion.

No idea what LinkedIn's reasons are, but I think grayed-out is good enough. If nothing else, it's light-years beyond Google's approach.
