By "strangling" its leadership and "strangling" Chromium. That can only be done by doing substantial development without Mozilla's consent and filling niches where Google have no profit.
Both are impossible feats though.
I don't think Mozilla is dead like it seemed a year ago though, obviously nowadays it's as influential (close to zero) as some companies like Atlassian.
