This is the end goal, since any part of that chain becoming compromised means any application running within that environment can be compromised be it Chrome, Brave, Firefox or whatever.

This would effectively exclude FOSS as a second class citizen when accessing the modern web.



FOSS is already a second class system because there is no DRM. The web still functions for these users despite that.
