Potatoes are definitely not a low calorie food. According to the USDA, potatoes are .77 kcal/g, while apples are .58 kcal/g, oranges are .47 kcal/g and tomatoes are only .18 kcal/g. Sorry, but potatoes are too good to be low-calorie.

The author doesn't claim potatoes are low calorie, he says calorie for calorie, potatoes make you feel more full.

I can see it, eating one large potato will make me feel full longer than eating twice as many apples.


Yeah this hack really would be more effective with protein rich foods. Like boiled chicken or something.
