"I (50M) am emperor of a historic world power (679SPQ), yet I must convince myself there's no need to go into the walk-in freezer and scream, despite days full of interminable meetings with jerks and idiots. AITA?"

I find it fascinating how as Emperor, Marcus Aurelius had most of his known world on a plate, with all the power a man could dream from. If anyone remotely irked him he [probably] could've had them executed on the spot, but what does he do? He retreats to his diary and reminisces that despite how troublesome people are, he shouldn't be annoyed as humanity was put on earth to help each other.
