Threads Has Entered the Fediverse (fb.com)

Just like they supported jabber. Until they didn’t.


Unfortunately, fb has failed to mention an important thing: Mastadon servers will just refuse to peer with Threads.


Some instances will refuse to federate with Threads. Many will.

And that's okay, that's how it's supposed to work...


The vast majority actually are federating with Threads https://fedipact.veganism.social/


There are reports that posts and comments that contain direct links to fediverse resources are now shown in Threads et al.

I guess they are just out for more content for their users without breaking their perception within the matrix.

A decentralized social media is infinitely better than a centralized one like Twitter that is owned by someone who spreads misinformation repeatedly.
