In Brazil jacaranda flowers tend to be red close to scarlet, mostly. And there is also the wonderful blossom of ipê/handroanthus/poui, in yellows and purples.

The red ones are not Jacarandas, but Royal Poinciana (aka Flamboyant). The species is Delonix regia, from Madagascar.
