What a Friday for sys admins.

> What a Friday for sys admins.

What sysadmins ? They are all externals now.

Brutal. This really exposes a unique vulnerability with azure that doesn’t exist with AWS or Google cloud. I wonder if some core Linux package somehow hit a boot race condition how resilient some aws and Google would be

DevOps is down globally!

I don’t think it really impacts DevOps folks, I think most of the azure users are more traditional enterprises / windows admins.

I think the parent meant Azure DevOps which is Microsoft's jira and was completely down for the duration of this outage.

Oh I see. What an idiotic name for a product!

Didn't notice that, wow!

Seems to be affecting a number of airlines. Frontier, Breeze, Spirit, Alaska, Allegiant.

Wonder if airlines and hospitals should be forced to use non-overlapping infrastructure so a black swan event wont bring all of them down. IIRC US technicians for X mobile operator must carry phones with Y operator's sims.

Good thing we aren't centralized with the cloud - oh wait!
