I agree with all of that except districting. I don’t trust judges or “independent commissions.” That should be the lesson of the 20th and early 21st century—there is no such thing as a neutral, objective body when it comes to large scale, politically significant decisions. The current districting process isn’t perfect, but inserting unelected decision makers into the process would be worse.
