The new tariffs are the best thing to happen to DTC brands in a decade. They’ll finally be forced to build real businesses instead of flimsy, VC-subsidized marketing machines.
this whole thing reeks of panic from brands that raised a ton of vc money to sell $90 socks and never built real supply chain resilience. now they’re surprised their margin math doesn’t work when they actually have to pay fair rates for production. incredible.
