Show HN: A Twitter bot that writes a haiku a day about U.S. news (x.com)

I built a Twitter bot yesterday that reads the news and posts a haiku every morning. There's no business model, but I had a good laugh about it. Maybe someone here will appreciate it too.

What "news" source(s) do you use? I hope it isn't sourcing content from social media as "news".

It uses news from Reuters and similar press agencies. Unless those sources their news from social media we should be good.

Did you see the fake tweet by a satire account claiming tariffs were put on hold? The "media" picked up on that and broadcast it and there were visible reactions when looking at stock charts. I think news does pick up things from social media, regularly.

I saw that too. I laughed about it for a second and moved on.

It paints a bleak picture for the quality of journalism. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that.
