That’s a personal opinion not a fact with any merit. And as a personal opinion has no bearing on what an adult should be allowed to spend their money on.

Tell that to the sex trafficking victims. Are you a Tate supporter?

In reality, the belief that porn is harmless has no evidentiary support.

It’s not worth debating if you dissolve everything to a black and white argument. In your definition someone sending a cute sexy picture via text to their significant other is tantamount to rape and slavery.

The argument is ridiculous on the face of it and just not worth discussing at that point.

Payment processors aren’t taking a stance against slavery and human trafficking by blocking the sales of X rated games on Steam and itch.io and you know that.

And payment processors certainly have no right inserting themselves into any transaction period. They are not the money police. For any other issues between a person and a product there are other infrastructures in place that should have intervened before it ever got to the point of “supporting human trafficking”.

Ridiculous.

> Tell that to the sex trafficking victims.

“Slavery hurts everyone involved” is true, but is not a reason to ban work that is not slavery. And that is just as true if you limit it to sex work as it is more generally.

How much poison has to be mixed into the egg salad before we avoid eating it?

Precisely the same amount that's in each of the other metaphorical sandwiches in the metaphorical buffet that is all other labour.

If you really care: normalize sex work, regulate labor requirements, and support sex worker unions.

“Regulation will fix it” is a common liberal cognitive failure. Proof by example: the open drug markets in SF.

Your solution to normalize violence against women and girls is a moral failure.

Oh, please.

I advocate for strong anti-trafficking and consent requirement laws and regulations on how porn sold in the US must be made and you bring up fictional "open drug markets" in SF?

I'm advocating for OSHA and labor unions for sex workers. Guess what, those work.

And you know what never has? Prohibition on alcohol, prohibition on marijuana, or forcing women to wear burkas for modesty. For their safety, of course.
