Say that you're a talented basketball player. You've done thousands of 3-point shots during practice, games, etc.

Then some agent turns up and says "If you can do the shot, I'll give you [life changing money]". If you miss, you get nothing.

If you miss that one shot, does that mean that you're essentially just a fake player who can't shoot for shit?
