The ADA is not a good thing. It's best known recently for forcing UC Berkeley to take down the lectures they used to provide over the internet for free. But it's been having very negative effects since it was enacted.



That's an example of the ADA doing exactly what it should. UC Berkeley is a public institution that receives billions of dollars of taxpayer funding and free land to provide a education for the benefit of the public, and that includes people with disabilities. They can spare a few dollars to make sure someone puts the damn alt tags on content so it works with a screenreader.


Alt tags? You have no idea what you're talking about.


It's hyperbole, but yes that was one of the stated issues.
