ABC is owned by Disney, which owns many subsidiaries. The one thing they and their shareholders care about is cold, hard cash. If you don't agree with what they're doing, then consider speaking the loudest way you can, with your wallet.
The company Nexstar the helped put the pressure on so they could get their special exemption (exemption to rules in place so that companies like Nexstar don't get too much power) own the online politics site 'The Hill'.
And to add, if you want to give comment to the FCC on the merger waiver at the center of this the period is over but the FCC people's in charges numbers are up for direct comment:
