People Can't Distinguish AI Voice Clones from Actual Humans Anymore (singularityhub.com)

The question isn’t whether AI can sound human—it already does. The real question is whether we care, as long as the interaction feels authentic, helpful, and kind. In a world where empathy can be automated, the future of customer experience might be not about replacing humans—but about teaching machines to sound a little more like us. For instance, Voice AI has quietly evolved from stiff scripts to emotionally intelligent conversations. Systems like Coldi AI now create voice agents so natural they can comfort a frustrated customer, schedule a demo, or even close a sale—without breaking the illusion of humanity. These agents don’t just “speak”; they listen, interpret mood, and respond with nuance.

I only watch new YT channels if there is a human presenter that appears on video for at least a few minutes. We can no longer tell by voice alone, and it's only a matter of time before we can no longer tell by video.

So many YouTube videos hitting my splash screen now that are AI voice and images droning on about a topic I’m actually interested in, but quickly realize there is no depth.

Crazy future.

people should expend no effort trying to figure what is talking to them, and focus very sharply what is bieng said, refuse to answer any ,ANY, questions and ask a bunch of pointy questions of there own. A real honest person will play along in an understanding fashion as bonifieds are established, as we are all faceing a wave of scamster and fraudsters.
