Have you ever worked with functional code from people who like to over-engineer things?

I've seen code from people who got the FP "buzz" and suddenly everything had to be FP. It was a nightmare.

The reality is as it always has been, the best programmers write simple, understandable code, regardless of the paradigm they choose.
