GP's point is that the page attempts to run unnecessary JS and that this is objectionable.




I guess "I want to have javascript enabled but no one to use it" is a hill to die on, but it's pretty exotic

"I want websites to justify to me that I should let them run JavaScript, and whitelist them for that purpose" is an ordinary and popular take (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/).
