Well, beware sampling bias. As best I can tell, the tech crowd has very different opinions on these issues than the population at large, and it can be easy to fall into the trap of "most young people think this way" when it's actually "most young people with six-figure salaries at technology companies think this way".
I think we are both saying the same thing. I originally meant to say that there is very little support for snowden outside the online tech crowd eco-chamber. I think you are also sayin the same thing.
