When I'm creating the flight control system for my moon rocket I'll use some more advanced hardware. For 99% of the things I might use this for, Javascript will be fine.

It's not about bandwidth. It's about latency.


"Oh, my room lights lit up 4ms too late because an interrupt &c., &c."

No one is even suggesting that Node is a suitable substrate on which to build, for example, a flight control system, and reduction to absurdity does nothing to improve your argument.
