Nobody is shocked nowadays when you inform them that Columbus was a bad guy, and the same historical rethink in pop culture is happening with Edison.

I don't know about Columbus[1] since he was always a bad guy when I grew up, but I still think Edison gets plenty of good press.

1) went to school on reservation - "Discovered" is not the word used
