Just for some further context. Plough is a publication of the Bruderhof community which is Christian but in a much more radical sense than mainstream Christianity (no private property, radical non-violence, etc.).

I've visited their community in upstate NY and really enjoyed it.

You can see how many people are falling for it by looking at the wallet address: https://etherscan.io/address/0x358EF89B4D37f16002cc4A853B321...

Well, someone is educating the crypto-masses, and charging a reasonable fee for it.

Yes, this is in the Square Cash app not their POS product.

Thanks. Still interesting though. Who holds the wallet? Can I spend my bitcoins at non-bitcoin merchants using the physical card they offer?

It doesn’t look like Square Cash supports other countries or currencies, I suppose this would be a bit of a way around that.

yeah, those are interesting questions. I assume either they hold the wallet or some exchange they are using behind the scenes.

It would make a lot of sense if you could start using your Square Cash Card funded by BTC. That would be cool from a long term vision.

I've been using the Shift Card for a few months which functions like a debit card but is funded from my BTC on coinbase.

I'm surprised the author left out payments. SMS is the simplest way to facilitate non-POS transactions. We've built our company on that, kindrid.com.

I like the site, it seems that your pricing is contradictory.

On: http://confetti.events/pricing

it says: "Confetti charges 5% + 5 SEK per ticket sold (this includes the credit card processing fees and VAT)"

But on: http://confetti.events/features

it says "5.0% + $0.50 per ticket (+ credit card fee)"

Oh, thanks for noticing, we've updated the site now! Sorry! The pricing page was right, the feature page wrong.

I think it's more about incentivizing sharing. Part of that is money but you're not going to make a lot carpooling to work.

So basically the Mayans would have been right?

"21 December 2012" was the proposed date of the Mayan Apocalypse. So the end of the world would have been a few month early.

Should've used NTP or PTP.

So, assuming you had an extra $3,500 to blow. What would you most like to have built?

I know this is a basic question. But how exactly does Printoo work with Arduino? Do I need to buy anything from Arduino in order to use Printoo?

What they're saying is that their underlying hardware has been selected such that it can be used with the Arduino programming environment to target it as if it were a regular Arduino. So it is compatible with Arduino software and tools.

Very cool.

But when you say "app" what exactly does that mean? Can it just be a web app that you save a shortcut to? Or is this actually a native app?

In order to take advantage of the Siri "api", it has to be a native app. All the native app does is open a webview with a specific link.

Siri doesn't recognize the names of bookmarks you save to your home page.
