Also anecdotal, but everyone metabolizes these classes of drugs differently. I'm an "ultra-rapid metabolizer" of a slew of SSRIs, so they're next to worthless for me compared to other medications.
Also anecdotal. And some people are ultra-slow metabolizers, which can cause the drugs to stay in the body longer than anyone could have anticipated. So the effects of 1 pill daily can feel like twice that amount since previous day dosis is still in the blood.
SSRIs affect me strangely. I feel mentally like I’m not depressed but then I have all of the symptoms of depression amplified. Oversleep, no motivation etc but hey I feel like I’m not sad internally.
You do not need the full HomePod to do multi-room audio. I have three HomePod Minis, one 1st gen HomePod, two AppleTVs, and an old Airport Express that I can use in any combination for whole home audio in sync. It works extremely well.
I'm recently diagnosed with ADHD-like symptoms and started on a low dose of Focalin about a month ago.
I can say for short-term focus and motivation it's been life-changing.
I would frequently flip-flop between getting sucked into rabbit-holes and having too many things going on at once. I now find that I can focus on tasks much better throughout the work day. My quality of work has improved as I've been able to better focus my time on what matter.
My doc has warned that over time I likely will need dosage increases, but for now it's been a wonderful experience with very few side effects (headaches the first day or two).
You will get out of your career what you put into it. I had kids at 24/26 and have found success relative to my peers in the field.
Sure there are sacrifices to be made with respect to career options. You can't (or shouldn't) just move cities every three years when a new job comes up, but working remotely can level that playing field quite a bit.
Is she okay?
