Moving the goalposts - it's social in the sense that you're interacting with other people, and media, but not social media as the focus is on the content and not on the people who post it
and what did they mean? delete your facebook and instagram? I guess the focus is on the "content" and not the "people" but I didn't really know they were distinct categories until now
It does allow account and comment deletion, just not on a self-service basis. You can always ask dang if you need something gone, but HN tries to avoid the comment rot that for example Reddit has (where there are massive threads of [deleted] or "erased by GreaseMonkey", usually wiping out context or, worse, actual solutions).
